Rectal Thermometer

The Rectal Thermometer is a digital temperature device that  provides a quick and highly accurate reading of a dog’s body temperature. The digital thermometer is designed to measure dog’s body temperature via the anus(rectally).

A bitch’s body temperature should be monitored at about 57 days into the pregnancy to know when there is a drop. A Whelping Temperature Chart is also in the kit for documenting the daily morning temperature from the Rectal Thermometer. Temperature drops is an indication that whelping is imminent in 24 hours. If temperature drops from the normal range of 37.7º -39.2º C to 37.5º C or below, whelping starts within 24 hours. This knowledge can help us to schedule our activities in such away that we can be present to give assistance, should help is needed during whelping.

This is a replacement to the Rectal Thermometer in the Puppy Whelping kit, should you need another one to replace the ones that come with your kit.
